3D printing is the process of producing a 3 dimensional object by laying down successive thin layers of molten material (usually a plastic like PLA or ABS). A computer controls the movement of the nozzle through which the molten plastic is extruded. Each layer is typically between 0.1 and 0.2mm thick. It is not a quick process. For example our 3D photos take around 6 hours each to produce as they are printed at the highest resolution in order to achieve the best quality.
While we aim to achieve a high quality of finish, due to the nature of the process it is normal for there to be slight surface imperfections but they will not detract from the overall aesthetics of the item.
